Archbishop Glenn Davies has issued a public statement on Israel Folau and the issue of Freedom of Speech, Conscience and Belief.
"Give us the courage to accept the realities of our history so that we may build a better future for our nation" the congregation prayed as the service began at St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney on National Sorry Day. But the event marked two important dates.
We acknowledge the pain and shame of our history and the suffering of our people.
"I came to understand that sin is ignoring God and continuing to live life my own way despite knowing him. Since I came to know God, I have become aware of countless examples of his grace."

With preparations well underway for the third Global Anglican Future Conference (GAFCON), there has been an appeal for churches and individuals to sponsor delegates from poorer areas.
"There's been a lot of talk about burnout of clergy and those sorts of things. We want to make it normal that we as gospel ministers are developing, making time to develop our convictions, our character and our competencies – and not feeling guilty about it."
